Deed Plotter

Paste a legal description and press Plot Deed. It reads metes and bounds (with ties from a section corner), aliquot parts such as Section 8: N/2 SE/4, or both. Everything is worked out in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to us.

Try an example:

Reads quadrant bearings (e.g. N 45°30'15" E, N45-30-15E, North 45 degrees East, North 224 feet, Due South) with distances in feet, chains, rods, varas, links or meters; “Commencing at … to the point of beginning” tie calls; “from which the … corner bears” references; and aliquot parts down to any size (SW/4 NW/4 NE/4 NE/4). Put each tract in its own paragraph. A tract tied to a section corner is drawn in a regular 5,280-foot section, which real sections only approximate. Curves are not plotted. This is a quick check of a description, not a survey.
